This tour is simply essential for any one who wants a good over view of the history of this city. Going through all of the major points of interest, including many that would be nearly impossible to find on your own. Our guide was very enthusiastic about the city and it's history, and was also very helpful at the end of the tour for giving information about the city. Going on this tour also got us money knoced off the pub crawl tickets for that night, and this was a great way to finish the day in drunken style! Comes thouroughly recommended!

This was by far the most interesting thing I have done on my two month trip of Europe.Nigel is an absolutley great guy, exceptionally funny but most importantly he knew what he was talking about. Although I think it is impossible to truly appreciate the atrocities that took place here, Nigels knowledge and delivery helped me appreciate the importance of Sachsenhausen and all concentration camps to Modern history. Thankyou very much Nigel for a truly memorable day.

So I have just finished 2 months of backpacking through europe, and Where was the best place, without a doubt BERLIN!!!! Why????? Because I wasnt just walking around taking photos, I actually knew what I was looking at. This was important beacuse there is so much modern history in Berlin!!! Kurt was great, the tour was interesting and informative and it was by far the best value for money tour we did in Europe!!!! 2 THUMBS UP FROM DANIEL AND DANA!

Nigel made our trip really intesting and exciting. Both me and my grandma really enjoyed his tour and thought he put across his knowledge in a way that was apropriate to all age groups. He was friendly and had a great sense of humor. The tour was definately a highlight of our trip to Berlin.

I took the third Reich tour with Nigel on Jan 5. I spent a week in Berlin and this tour was the highlight for me. Nigel is an active historian in Berlin working to preserve the rich history of the city. There is so much fascinating material...the Berlin air raids, the Stalingrad drawing, follow the Red Army through Berlin, the story of the Martin Gropius Bau and the SS, the incredible story in the plot to depose the Nazis, the significance of the Holocaust memorial, and more. We spent 5 hours touring and I am eager to visit Berlin just for another tour. Nigel's passion for the history and mastery of the subject will awe you. Do not miss this.

A very impressive visit to the Berlin of sadder days, and a very knowledgeable and competent guide. His dry kind of humour mixed with a true love of history made this tour a unique experience and enjoyable in spite of its horrible subject.

You can tour a place and take pictures. It's fun. But picture-shooting trips don't really make you a much different person.
Taking tours with these guys showed me Berlin in a way I would never be able to do by myself.
After this, I have become a different person.
I have done two walks, and both with Nigel (Iron Curtain and 3rd Reich), and let me tell you this: I doubt it can get any better. Superb.
It's as simple as that: if you're looking for an enriching experience, do not miss the opportunity. Just do it, you won't regreat.

kurt is a fantastic tour guide. he is a great orator and offered great insight into berlin's history. easy to listen to and get along with, a really great guide!

we very much enjoyed our tour with Nigel on sunday the 10th of december. Nigel enlightend us regarding third reich berlin, espacailly addeing the visit to the resistance in the german army museum.
