First Class tour and a first class guide. Nigel realy knows his stuff.Visited places that I would never have found without him. When I go back to Berlin, I shall take the same tour again.
Did a tour with another company but it was just not in the same class. If you come to Berlin and are interested in the second world war (and the peace) this is the tour for you. Thanks Nigel!
The 'Behind the Iron Curtain' tour was both interesting and informative but most importantly it was fun. The tour guide, Nigel, was crazy but could answer any question and had actually experienced the history he was telling us about. The fact that he had such a great interest in Berlin and its history was obvious and made his stroies facinating. I would highly recomend Insider Tours to anyone going to Berlin. The city has so much history and quirks and the Insider Guides can tell you all you need to know!
Thanks Phil for your very interesting tour and your informed comments (and for getting 4.5 hours for the price of 4!) I thought that you did very well in answering questions from your party where some were already very knowledgeable and others knew nothing about the city and its place in history. I now feel better able to put the events of the period 1945 - 1989 in geographical context.
Scott gave us a tour which was as well informed as it was charasmatic. We covered a lot of ground literally and metaphorically and yet we never felt rushed once. I would highly recommend this tour - especially for your first day in Berlin to get a sense of this amazing city!

We started off our week in Berlin with this tour to get our bearings of the city so that we had the confidence to explore further. Jamie took us around and gave us a fantastic insight into the city. Truley worth every Euro and I would recommend anyone to go on these tours as you will learn more and get to feel more of a city far better than reading a guide book or sitting on a tour bus. Have just returned home after a mini break to Berlin, went on the tour with Phil and wanted to convey how much my husband and I enjoyed it, we both found Phil's knowledge very informative and feel we acheived more in the time on the walk than we would have done on our own, we will return and definately participate in another of the tours available.
