Many thanks for a great tour and a great guide (Mike). It would be easy for your guides to become bored of repeating some 'script' day after day after day but Mike's passion and enthusiasm really brought the tour to life (Mike sorry I didn't thank you personally but the queue to shake your hand at the end made it almost impossible and sums up the pleasure you brought to the group)
If anyone is reading this ahead of a trip to berlin make sure you find these guys and do it on your first day, as mike said "I'm a sponge, squeeze me". I can't believe I got so much for a tenner !!!
mike was excellent. the way he described berlin history was remarkable, not a single minute felt boring, the narration, the enthusiasm creditable,
keep it up cheers rovena
Heiko really must do more to overcome his shyness. : ) But seriously, he's without doubt the best guide I've ever known. My wife, mother and I had a fabulous four hours desperately trying to keep up as, coat flapping like a demented bat, he led us around a wind-chilled Berlin. His knowledge, humour and theatrical gifts really brought the tour to life. I will never forget his explanation of Einstein's theory of relativity, in which he and my mother played the part of trains heading towards Oxford. Where else would you get that sort of commitment? And when we were all most in need of it, he found us a warm cafe in which to eat, drink and prepare for the final leg. I can't recommend the tour, and Heiko, highly enough. A big thanks from the three of us.
I had to write to let you know that the tour day we had with Derek was one of the best and most informative days we have ever had. Thank you again- wish we were still exploring Berlin!

Derek is a very knowlegable and professional tour guide. Derek is still the only person I have ever met that didn't look at me sideways when I said 'Berlin is one of my favorite cities'. It is this passion for Berlin and it's unique history that makes him an effective guide. I was sure to pepper him with questions on the walk between sites and he was very accomodating in giving me all the information I could handle. Derek was professional, passionate, and (for a Canadian) humorous. When in Berlin, I will again look up Insider Tours. Job well done Derek!
Really enjoyed Heiko's walk and his jokes. It was nice to have someone to take us around that wonderful city and especially since it was my first time there. He brought the place alive and I would recommend his walk to anybody visiting Berlin.
To the manager,
I am just writing on behalf of myself and all the students and staff from QEH Bristol who recently had the pleasure of a guided tour of Berlin with your guide Mike from New Zealand. He was enormously enthusiastic, well informed and good humoured and really brought the history of the city to life. Please thank him again on our behalf and give him a pay rise! We will certainly use your company again and recommend you to other visitors.
Yours sincerely

Insider Tours has produced an extraordinary history necessary for a place that played such an integral role in the execution of the Holocaust. Researched and guided mainly by Nigel Dunkley former British Military attaché in Berlin and one of the leading military historians world wide.
